We actually went to the turtle rescue. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us. Scott Crystal is very knowledgeable and very pleasant. He is from the state of Maine. Put this experience on your bucket list, Don't miss this.
Great place to visit right on Ocean. Lots of things to do and very comfortable chairs and table. Drinks and other items available. You can even take a surfing lesson.

This is my favorite bar ever, hands down. Has a dive bar feel, great cocktails, cool people, nature, in the sand, this place it all (eco venao has a turtle hatchery, too!) While living in Venao the last month, this where the locals go, you'll find a great mix of expats, Panamanians, travelers from all over the world. The bar food here is insane, try the cheeseburger, made diner style, paired with a cold local beer after an afternoon surfing, you'll be in heaven. I found that I just enjoyed this part of the beach more than anywhere else, I joined the surf academy (surf dojo) at eco venao, so most of my time off from work was spent down here. These guys care and it shows, can't wait to come back to and sit at the bar again soon :)
