Eco Venao is the ultimate place to be in Playa Venao. Located slightly off town centre, Eco is a hidden gem where you can enjoy chilling in the best part of the beach (beach bar La Barca is there to offer food and drinks), surf (the Surf Dojo offers both lessons and rentals), hike in the nature, do horse riding, treat yourself at luxury Beach Cabañas or get a full natural experience with a more rustic stay. There is also a lovely café and a very good restaurant! Staff at Eco Venao is the best. Always kind and happy to help. I couldn't recommend a better place to stay
Wonderful place with heart for nature. Very friendly prices apartments for what you get! Underrated for sure! Also the food in the restaurant is outstanding.
I had a TERRIBLE massage here with an Italian therapist who apparently lots of other travelers have had really bad massages with—but apparently nobody leaves bad reviews because “why be negative?” She’s literally *known* for being rough and not listening. The long term digital nomads I talked to laughed when I mentioned I had gone to her and said “yes, the really aggressive Italian woman who doesn’t go deep enough.” (She hurt my skin but never did anything to my muscles and I tried to give feedback about going deeper but she just continued the same things.) Well, fellow travelers, please try to be honest with your reviews, because otherwise the wrong therapists get clients and the right ones don’t (and people waste serious money). After this disaster I went elsewhere and had a really amazing massage with someone else!
Lovely place to stay! We stayed in the Eco Venao Casitas in the jungle, which are spacious, clean and comfy. Good food at the restaurant, nice little bar down at the beach, good surf as well. Definitely a recommendation, if you want to stay a bit away from the crowds. Thanks to the super friendly team!
I had an amazing experience here. I stayed at a beach cabana. Even had my own cabana cat! The rooms were kept clean by staff. If you’re looking to stay in playa Venao, this is the place. I took a tour of the Permaculture Farm. Did some hiking. Went to a beautiful waterfall. Even enjoyed horseback riding.
