This place is amazing. The atmosphere and the people make for an incredible experience. Delicious food, amazing guides, and absolutely beautiful scenery make this a fantastic fishing lodge. Nothing better after a long day of fishing than drinking a cold beer and sharing your stories while eating a delicious dinner . I started the week with 9 strangers and left with a bunch of friends. You aren't guaranteed a trophy but that's fishing for you. I can't wait to come back.
Had such a great time at Los Buzos! The fishing was fantastic and the hospitality was great as well. What a beautiful part of the world to go and visit.
My husband and I were staying at an Airbnb down the road from Los Buzos, and we had watched several of Los Buzos' YouTube videos before arriving in Panama. We were very intrigued about the kayak fishing, so we reached out to the resort to see if we could do some fishing with them if we were not staying at the resort. Morris wrote back and advised that we could be accommodated, fishing from their custom panga. We decided to book with them, and were out with them today. We absolutely loved the experience! The day started off with a delicious breakfast at the resort. The resort staff even had premade lunches made for us! To be honest, I didn't think the panga would be very stable due to it's shape but it was incredible! It handled the water well and the bean bag seats were a fantastic touch! We landed six fish; a jack, three bonitos, a blue runner, and a broom tail grouper! After a full day of fishing, we were invited back to the resort for dinner, which was absolutely fantastic! This experience definitely has us planning a trip back to Panama, specifically to Los Buzos! Thanks to Dakota, Morris, AJ, Jose and Gio (I apologize for the spelling, I'm sure that's not right..) you are all amazing at what you do! Thanks for the incredible experience!
I had an epic time fishing in August 2022! This is the coolest and most unique offshore kayak fishing outfit that I know of. Very professional mates and top notch equipment. When the surf was too heavy to launch kayaks off the beach, Dakota used pangas to transport our kayaks offshore (free of charge). The rooms are beautiful, and the food was killer. Perfect breakfast every morning, delicious lunch packed in a lunch box during the fishing day, and beautiful sashimi and steak dinners every night. And the pig roast on the final night was epic!
Had a great time at Los Buzos Resort and will be back! The food and lodging were just great as were the staff. Had good gear and guys on the boats too. Fishing was a little off while we were there but still caught some really good ones. Guess my only complaint would be is the bait situation. We spent about a 3rd of the fishing time trying to catch bait or without bait. Seems like the fish would take dead, chunk, or even baits out of the cooler so there should be some kind of way to have maybe frozen baits when going out just to get you started until you can get bait or keep you fishing when you run out. There were days when we would run by bait that were everywhere on the way to the fishing spots only to not be able to get any when we got there. This only effects us bait fishermen but its always good to have some on hand for everybody. It really hampered fishing at times. Ted
